The Fall Family Picnic scheduled for today, Saturday, September 24 has been canceled.  The rain over the past couple of days has made the park soggy and would prevent the event from being the fun activity it was intended to be. Charlestown Parks & Recreation and Charlestown Beautification Committee to Host “Fall Family Picnic in Greenway Park”. Bring the Family, Saturday September 24th in Greenway Park, 4:00p.m.-8:00p.m. for music, food and fun. Kids Tractor Pull, Hayrides, Inflatables, Hula Hoop Contest and more. Admission Free!! “Picnic Special”, Grilled Ribeye Steak Sandwiches, Pork Chop Sandwiches, Dressed Cheeseburgers and Hot Dogs. Choice of Sandwich, Baked Beans, Coleslaw or Potato Salad and Drink $3.00. Stop by the Charlestown Fire Dept. Ladies Auxiliary Bake Sale for homemade desserts. Dance to tunes from the “Blaise Streets Band” and “Q it Up” DJ Alex Streets” 5:30-8:00. The Charlestown Police Dept. will be on hand to “show off the dogs” K-9 demonstration at 7:00.
